What's Included

The Process

1

Inspection and assessment

We assess the condition of both lenses to determine the level of oxidation and surface damage. This tells us exactly which sanding grits and polish stages are needed to get the best result.

2

Wet sanding

We work through progressively finer grits of wet sandpaper to cut away the oxidised outer layer. This is the stage that removes the yellowing and deep hazing that polishing alone cannot fix.

3

Machine polishing

A dual-action polisher with cutting and finishing compounds removes all sanding marks and brings the lens back to full clarity. We work in stages until the surface is optically clear.

4

Final hand polish and buff

A final hand polish by our technician removes any remaining micro-marring and gives the lens a clean, smooth finish before protection is applied.

5

UV sealant application

We finish with a UV-resistant sealant that bonds to the lens surface and slows down future oxidation. Without this step, lenses begin hazing again within months.

6

Quality check

Both headlights are compared side by side under light to confirm a consistent, clear result. We will not hand a car back unless we are happy with what we see.

Is This Right For You?

This service is ideal for any driver in Perth whose headlights have gone yellow, foggy, or dull over time, particularly on vehicles five years or older where UV damage has set in. It is also a smart call before selling your car, as cloudy headlights are one of the first things a buyer notices and they can knock real money off a perceived value.

Common Questions About Headlight Restoration

Most headlight restorations take between one and two hours depending on the severity of the oxidation. We will give you a more accurate timeframe when you get your free quote.
They can, over time, if left unprotected. That is why we apply a UV sealant as the final step. With that protection in place and basic care, restored headlights typically stay clear for one to two years or longer.
In most cases, yes. Replacement headlights for many vehicles can cost hundreds of dollars per side once you factor in parts and fitting. Restoration delivers a clear, bright result at a fraction of that cost, and the difference is significant.
We work from our Dianella workshop and operate on bookings, so we do ask that you get a quote and lock in a time first. That way we have the bay ready for your car when you arrive.
Restoration works on surface oxidation, hazing, and yellowing, but it cannot repair physical cracks or chips in the lens itself. If your headlights have structural damage, we will let you know during the inspection and talk you through the options.
